group projects
I'm just going to throw it out there. I hate group projects, and I hate people...
Okay, I didn't really mean that last one, I just mean that sometimes, people can be hard to handle. Trust me, I understand.
I remember coming into CAL and having to do my first group project. It was for History of Medicine. Besides myself, there were a total of four people in my group, and myself and one other student ended up completing the whole project by ourselves. The other three never once made it any of the group workshops we had set up outside of school.
Here's my advice to you on group projects:

Here's my advice to you on group projects:
- Go into every project expecting to do all of the work. That way, you may be presently surprised.
- If someone in your group isn't picking up their slack, call them out on it! You don't have to be rude, but let them know that they need to pull it together.
- Communicate with everyone in your group about the project, so that when it comes time to evaluate your peers, they don't say that you didn't let them do anything.
- When someone (no matter who it is) in your group doesn't do their work, tell the teacher. I know it makes you look like a "tattle tale", but let's be real, if someone doesn't do anything, do you want them to get your grade? No!
- Also: Choose your friends carefully... You reveal your character not only by the company you keep... But also the company you avoid...
