Mr. Turner (English)
English was probably one of the most entertaining classes I had at CAL. Mr. Turner is one of the most laid back teachers I think I've ever had, but with that comes a mini list of unsaid rules. I think most of them should come as a no-brainer though:
And the most important one that you MUST follow if you're to be successful in your junior English class?

- Pay attention in class
- Get your work done on time
- Be respectful of others

- Laugh at ALL of his jokes (even if they're not that funny)

Ms. Helm (Apps and Pracs; Medical Terminology)
Ms. Helm is the sweetest, most caring teacher I've ever had. She's super big on class participation (as any teacher should be), and being as productive as possible. She cares so much about her students, and lucky for me, I had her for two classes this year, and I'll get to next year too!
My tips for surviving her class?

- Make sure you're always doing something productive
- Don't pack up your stuff until she dismisses you
- She LOVES Starbucks *hint* *hint*

Mrs. Lutu (Health Science)
Honest to God, Mrs. Lutu is the most down to earth, and just REAL teacher. Sometimes, if you glance her direction at the wrong time (when she's not smiling) she does look a little --okay, a lot-- intimidating, but she's taught me that there's so much more to someone than what you see on the surface. I advise you to take the time to get to know her on a personal level, because sometimes what you hear may surprise you. If she's one of your teachers, consider yourself one of 'The Lucky Ones'. Don't mistake me though, you do need to get your work done in class, because although she can be the nicest lady when you're on her good side, I'd hate to know what it's like on her bad side.
